What sets Santa Fe apart
Filtration is the headline. Both the Compact70 and the Oasis105 ship with a MERV-13 pleated filter, where the AprilAire E-series uses a washable MERV-8 and the AlorAir and Abestorm units use MERV-8 or lower (optional on some). In a crawl space with exposed soil or dust from a vapor barrier install, a higher-rated filter keeps the coil cleaner for longer.
Santa Fe also publishes the DOE 65°F / 60% RH capacity alongside the AHAM 80°F / 60% RH rating: 43.7 pints per day for the Compact70 and 67 pints per day for the Oasis105. Most crawl spaces run closer to the DOE condition than the AHAM one, so those are the numbers to size against. Efficiency is documented too: 3.7 A (444 W) for the Compact70 and 6.1 A (732 W) for the Oasis105 at the DOE condition.
The warranty is 6 years on both units per the manufacturer. Sylvane describes it as 5 years against operational failures plus 6 years for faulty components, so read the warranty document before you buy if that distinction matters.
Compact70 or Oasis105?
The Compact70 (70 pints AHAM, 2,600 sq ft tightly sealed or 1,800 sq ft loosely sealed) is the default for most sealed crawl spaces. At 12 x 12 x 21 in. and 55 lb it fits through nearly any access door, and at $1,365 (Sylvane, Sep 2026) it is the less expensive of the two. Airflow is 150 CFM, enough for an open crawl space but not for long duct runs.
The Oasis105 (102 pints AHAM, 3,300 sq ft tightly sealed) steps up to 280 CFM at up to 1 in. WG of static pressure, which is what makes it ductable across a large or divided crawl space. It costs $2,108 on sale (Sylvane, Oct 2026) and is 24 x 14.5 x 16 in. at 59 lb. Santa Fe does not publish a noise rating for it; Sylvane lists 54 dB.
Neither unit has a built-in condensate pump. Both drain by gravity and both have an optional pump kit, so if your drain line must run uphill, add the kit to your budget or look at a pump-equipped unit on our best-of list.
Warranty
